Other Attractions

Green County Dairy Day is also during the day on Sat, June 18th in New Glarus. The cattle judging will be held at the fairgrounds in Monroe Saturday morning. So for part of our event, it will be Balloons and Bessie.

Part of the Balloon Rally this year will be the Hot Air and Hot Wheels Car Show hosted on the fairgrounds mid way Saturday, June 18th. Kerry Stamm volunteered again this year to organize the car show and has put together a great team to assist with registering and judging the 20 different categories. If you have questions contact Kerry at 214-5445.

Agility Trials for DogsAlso new this year, the Green County 4-H Agility Trials will be held on the Balloon Rally Grounds on Saturday June 18th. All dog/handler teams must complete one year of 4-H obedience training to become eligible for agility. The trainers include Krista Bethke, Jarrett and Tonya Kelly, Mike Olmstead and youth leaders April Buri, Abby Bethke and Kayla Foley.

Lots of great local food will be on-hand at this year's event.Along with the famous Cream Puffs provided by the National Historic Cheesemaking Center, you'll need to save room for the cheese curds, giant cookies, cotton candy, kettle corn and deep fried everything.

Fun slide for the kids.New for the kids to play on this year is an inflatable slide, bounce house. For the older ones, there will be the joust and the sports bungee challenge. Good games, good food and great fun for all.

Monty Chesebro’s Tractor and Wagon Rides sponsored by the New Glarus Hotel and Chalet Landhaus will be at the event giving rides and shuttling folks to and from their cars.
