26th Annual Monroe Balloon Rally is on the Horizon

This year's rally is scheduled for Father's Day weekend (June 17th and 18th, 2011). We're looking forward to seeing you there for another sky high extravaganza.

Father's Day Weekend in Monroe Wisconsin. June 18-19, 2010 was Sky High

Monroe Wisconsin has long been known for award winning world-class cheeses, its historic Courthouse and rich Swiss heritage. And now Monroe is host to the longest-running balloon rally in Wisconsin.

2010 marked the twenty-fifth year for the Monroe Balloon Rally, held each year at the Green County Fairgrounds in Monroe, Wisconsin. There was no admission charge for the balloon rally and a vast crowd was in attendance over the weekend. Parking was available on the street or for $3 inside the fairgrounds.

The hot-air balloons took flight from the fairgrounds on Saturday and again on Sunday despite some rough weather Friday night and Saturday morning.

This year's event is scheduled for Father's Day weekend again (June 17th and 18th, 2011) so plan on bringing  the whole family and experiencing the thrill of seeing these brilliant hot-air balloons take to the skies. Whether you're at the sunrise launch or an evening's balloon glow, you'll want to bring your camera and capture the excitement and vivid color of this event.
